Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds soul gospel jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and during the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and performed piano. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You a House 12, came out only in Japan. It's been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. She has also contributed her singing for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition through her performances on four consecutive days at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's inaugural in 2009.
