Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a youngster, growing up in New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied following her graduation with an English degree as well as a communications certificate at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great experience. It was impossible to take enough out of the experience. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian food and culture while in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is a well-known ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Anne always felt fortunate that she was able to share her passion of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
